ECW Rant!

I am probably one of the biggest fans of the old ECW.  Tod Gordon was one of the best wrestling minds out there in my opinion.  How I miss Joel Gertner and his silliness.  When ECW went under I was truly heartbroken. 1993-2001 were the best years of my life as a wrestling fan.

When Vince decided to buy ECW, I was a little bit sad and disappointed.  He bought the whole ECW library and the trade marks and everything else.  I knew that Vince was going to something with the ECW name. So I wasn’t surprised when they decided to start up ECW again.  I gave it a chance, I wanted to see what they had to offer.

The first few shows were really good.  I enjoyed some of the new characters. They had a mixture of ECW talent and WWE new talent.  I kept watching because of my two favorite stars, Shelly (Ariel) Martinez and CM Punk.  The rest of the show was crappy.  Well they decided to no longer retain Shelly for a really stupid reason, even though she was bringing in the ratings.  I spoke to a lot of people who watched ECW and we all came to the same conclusion: we were watching ECW because of Punk and Martinez.

I don’t know CM Punk as a person, but it seems to me he is not having a good time there in ECW.  He wrestles his heart out for the fans, but there is something missing.  I really don’t know what it is.  I look on youtube and I see a different Punk.  I hope he can get that back and stays with WWE a long time.

To the rest of the old ECW talent that still remains with WWE: I really think that you guys should enjoy the paychecks that you guys are getting., but I hope you leave as soon as soon as your contracts are up. Save us fans the agony of seeing how they treat you.
