So Many Options for Booker T in TNA
Howdy from NC!
Last night at the Genesis PPV event, Sting revealed Booker T as his mystery tag partner! While things might not have started out on the best foot, there is no doubt that Booker could have quite a successful run in TNA.
There are a lot of young mid-card heels, who could be chomping at the bit to get in the ring with this former world champion, as well as some opponents from the time he spent in WCW and WWE. So let’s take a look at all the possibilities together…
Black Reign (Dustin Rhodes)
Reign and Booker were at one time tag champions together, and had several enjoyable backstage skits together. Maybe Booker is the one that can help Reign gain some stability? Or could he push Reign even further into his multiple personality driven darkness?
AJ Styles and Tomko
The TNA tag team champions played an instrumental role, no doubt, in Sting getting pinned by Angle at the Genesis PPV. Could Sting and Booker team again to try to dethrone the tag champs for their actions?
Scott Steiner
He was Booker’s last opponent in WCW, and since some are saying the Steiner Brothers tag team might be over, this might be a welcome walk down nostalgia lane to see these two hook up one more time, especially after all the intense, brutal matches they had in WCW towards the end.
James Storm and Robert Roode
Two of the best and brightest heels in the industry at this moment, Storm or Roode would benefit greatly from a long feud with Booker, as this would help establish both even more.
Christian Cage
This one is almost a no-brainer for me, as these two had quite a feud for the IC title just a few years ago. No doubt this is almost a PPV main eventer. These two hook up next week in Houston, in Booker’s PWA promotion. It might also be one of Booker’s first feuds in TNA.
Sting
Yes, they were tag partners last night, but if they have their differences, or if there is championship gold involved, it would interesting to watch a match between these two men.
Jeff Jarrett
We don’t know when, or if, he will show up in the six sided ring again, but this would bring back memories also, and would sure be an interesting bout, considering the history these two men have had.
Kurt Angle
While this might be the most obvious, it certainly doesn’t mean it would be the best option for these two wrestlers. Kurt and Booker have enough to keep them busy, and TNA could stretch out these two meeting until a big PPV rolls around, say next year at Lockdown, maybe in Houston? Just food for thought.
There is no doubt plenty to do in TNA for Booker T, and I am looking forward to his matches, as well as his vignettes. So what do you think? Who should be the first to feud with Booker T in TNA?
Until next time, from the bleachers…
