Missy Sampson — The Luscious Lowdown

Quick Update

I know that it has been forever and for that I’m sorry. Life has been extremely busy for me lately.

First on a personal level, three weeks ago my step-mom (who is my mother to me) was in the hospital for about a week. Two days after she got home we had to admit my father for congestive heart failure. He was in the hospital for about 5 days and it seemed as if he was doing much better. However, last night we had to rush him back as he is once again suffering from congestive heart failure. They of course admitted him and we are waiting for them to run more tests.

As for wrestling, a lot of people have been asking me why they aren’t seeing me at more shows. Well truth be told it’s by my own choice. After breaking my left ankle in April I have decided to be more picky about where I work, who I work for, and just who I wrestle in general. I’ve had quite a number of injuries in my career and I just need to be safer and more selective. I mean this is the only body I’m going to get and I need to start taking better care of it. Besides if my family has to watch me limp around anymore they may just lock me in the cellar!

Shout outs to my sisters Tracy, Dawn and Rose as well as my mom and dad.

As far as wrestling goes, I usually check my last blog to see where I left off and of course I forgot. So I’ve been really enjoying my time and work at PWU. It’s just full of my family and friends. Also about a week ago I got to hang out with Jim The Anvil Neidhart. Anyone that knows me, knows that The Hart Foundation is my all time favorite tag team EVER! So getting to meet and actually hang out with Jim was amazing. Thanks to Amy for the opportunity. Also thanks to Jim for just being freaking awesome! Thank you for the words of advice and for just being a real pleasure to be around. Also thank you for telling me we should leave the casino before I decided to go bankrupt! lol.

This past Saturday I made my long awaited (ok I long awaited it) return to WXW for the Elite 8 tournament. Now I wasn’t in the tournament itself but rather I had the honor of challenging the WXW Woman’s Champion, Kaycee Carlisle. Now I have a ton of respect for Kaycee but I was looking forward to making it a hell of a home coming and taking the title with me. Some people lately have noticed that as I mentioned before I’ve been extra cautious in the ring to the point where the word lazy has come up (mostly out of my own mouth). However I had something to prove here and I wanted to show everyone that I could still get in the ring and go! I didn’t want to hold anything back. I have to thank all of the fans (and Wrestlin’ Wally) who were pleasantly surprised to see me at the show. Sorry I couldn’t let the cat out of the bag earlier. The crowd’s response was amazing and I thank you all! I think my match on Saturday ranks in my top 5 ever. Thanks to Kaycee for pulling it out of me and making me step it up. Prior to my match I got some advice and a nice little pep talk from Mercedes Martinez which also helped. I didn’t win but I won a personal battle between me and the ring and at the end of the night that was enough for me.

I’d like to congratulate my girl and bestest friend Cindy Rogers on winning this year’s Elite 8. It certainly was about time. I am so proud of you.

Also at the Elite 8, I got to meet Erica Porter aka Jungle Girl who was very down to earth and a genuine sweet heart! Everyone go buy her book!

That’s all I can think of right now as far as what I’ve been up to lately. As for what I have coming up I will be at PWU this Saturday and I make my debut for WWC on November 24th taking on Roxy Cotton for the WWC Woman’s Championship. Let’s hope I can walk out with a title at some point in November! lol

Well wishes for continued recovery to my boy Chance Prophet who is still nursing his leg that has a big boo boo on it! Keep your chin up kid!

Also the worlds biggest thank you and gratitude to my girls Cindy Rogers, Amy Lee and Alicia for making me keep my head up and making me keep moving forward. Also thanks to TBFE for giving me about 10 hours of getting away from everything and giving me moments that begged to be lived in!
