Miss Ayn: Annie’s View

Kingly Views!

Hello Viewers,
Yeah, I know, It’s been a long time and for that, I’m so sorry. But, here I am again and I’m trying to get things in order. You know, Christmas is right around the corner already? I am gearing up for my shopping Saturday. Too excited actually. Figured out what I’m getting the hubby, and I made something for my Mom so that’s gonna rock.

How have you all been? I hope great. Well, what did you think of wrestling? Love the Hunter match, miss Cena, And I really could live without the divas but you know, that’s me. What do you all think of Beth Pheonix? I think well, not sure I like that one but please give me your views.

How about this Hogan divorce? He didn’t even know she filed. Now that’s just sad and cold. No, it really is. I’d at least tell my husband I was filing. But then again, that’s me. LOL.

And Jericho!!!! WhoooHoooo That’s the newest Question of the Week What do you think of Jericho’s return? Please let me know.

Okay everyone, here are your answers to whom you think should or is the King of Wrestling. While Booker T is long gone (again I say yay) just for the King part though - I really like Booker T, here are your answers. As always Lawler is my pick. But here are yours.

From a Viewer named Curtis he wrote this answer and I HAD to share

Hey,

Just read your column and to answer ya about who I think the real King is I just have to come out and say it… I can’t believe and it’s been a couple years now but how can Hunter have the gall to come out and call himself the King of Kings! There is only one King of Kings and Lord of Lords and that is Jesus Christ Himself! I guess I expected more from him because of how close he is to Shawn. It almost seems like a rib and making fun of Shawn because he is a Christian. But just like every single one of us, Hunter will have to give an accounting for his life on Judgment Day and I dont see our Lord taking too kindly to it. It’s all in His Hands now anyways, but I just had to get that off my chest.

Onto your question now though. In good conscience I couldn’t say HHH and I already told you why. Lawler even though he is still great on the mic is only the King because that is what they called him for decades down south in the regional promotions he wrestled for. I never liked Jerry in the ring even when I saw him wrestle in his prime years ago in old matches. King Booker on the other hand has the complete package… He is great on the mic, awesome in the ring, and this gimmick just fits him perfectly. I feel it is time for the King Jerry Lawler to pass the torch… err.. crown to King Booker and I feel that out of those three, nobody comes close to King Booker… All hail King Bookaaaaa!!!!!!

I agree - Jerry is the true King - has been for over 20 years, although I don’t know a lot about his early years, I do know he and Austin Idol were a team of sorts. I’m not sure what his “signature moves” were, but if you really take the match against Booker apart, Jerry didn’t have any moves - just hitting and punching and kicking. No body slams, no true “holds” and no real action - only reaction. What he still has is that intangible that only the greats have, and, for some reason, Vince has spared him the humiliation that he’s made other great wrestlers of the past go through (how pitiful did Sgt. Slaughter look?) with younger stars. Vince has ruined the legacies of Sgt Slaughter, the Briscos, Hawk, Terry Taylor, Dusty Rhodes, Pat Patterson, and so, so many more. The King has been immune from this, thank goodness.

Long Live the King - there is only one, and he usually sits right next to J.R. on television. When he’s in the ring, he can sell anyone or anything, and he does it with class and with style.

King of WWE? I would say that’s Vince.

All hail King Booker!!!! The rest are just wannabes.

Sam Jerry wrote:
No contest - it’s HHH, in the ring and now at the right hand of ‘God,’ and consort to The Princess.

My friend, and Viewer, Mike, wrote this:
Lawler is the peoples’ King and has been King for about 30 years ….
HHH is the self proclaimed King of Kings …
The nod goes to Jerry THE KING Lawler
From Karen who wrote:

Well, Lawler was King before Booker or HHH, so I think he should be King of WWE.

Charity had this to say on who the REAL King is:

Lawler… and Booker is gone? GLORY HALLELUJAH!

Max answered with this:

Lawler is the “king” - permitting Vince to call someone else king goes along with his practice of insulting and watering down the stars of yesteryear. Don’t let him get away with this.

I’m a huge Jerry fan as well. He is the King and even though I’m a huge Triple H fan and think he’s 2nd to Jerry as far as Kings go, Jerry is the true King of the WWE. I also agree that Jerry/JR are the perfect match and I’ve always hated when they stuck someone new in there with them or taken JR away. Raw wouldn’t be Raw without The King or JR. I mean even when it’s a stupid match Jerry cracks me up and it makes it a little easier to watch.

Short sweet and to the point eh? Well, I’m off to the beach to shop. Well Saturday, but leaving here tomorrow so until next time be good or be like me, really good doing it.
