Ok so many of wondering what the hell is this column all about? Well the title says it all. This is all about Francine! (The Queen of Extreme that is!) Now some of you are scratching your heads wondering why? It’s simple, because I said I would and Francine laughed as if she didn’t believe me! HA! Never underestimate the weird and insane shit I will do!
Where do I start, well the beginning is probably a good place eh? I met Francine when she was working for ECW. I was a fan on the other side of the barrier. At my first show I bought a picture of Francine and waited for her after the show to have her sign it. When she came out she was more then gracious to do so, even as her ride was yelling at her that they wanted to leave. She told them to pipe down and signed my picture, asked me my name, thanked me for coming to the show and then headed off. The next show I saw her at she said hello to me and remembered my name, which as a fan meant the world to me. I would talk to her at shows and she was always so friendly to me. Mind you, she certainly didn’t have to be. A short time later I myself dove headfirst into wrestling and had the honor of making it to the other side of the barrier. I hadn’t seen Francine in a few years when I ran into her again at a show. The minute she walked in the locker room she came up to me with a huge smile on her face, gave me a huge hug and still remembered my name. She asked me what I had been up to and I told her I had been training and was managing and wrestling. She was genuinely happy for me. We exchanged numbers and info and became fast friends.
Now there are others who I knew back when I was just fan who can’t move past that and every time I see them still treat me like I’m that young girl on the other side of the barrier. Even when I was that girl, Francine never treated me like I was. She’s gone to bat for me with promoters to try and get me spots on shows. When she hears something bad has happened in my life (which as most of you know has been a reoccurring theme in my life lately) she takes time out of her busy schedule to call me and make sure I’m ok. I have this great friend, all because she’s a great person. The fact is, by all means, me and Francine probably never should have ended up friends. Except Francine is an exceptional human being!
Francine is now planning her upcoming wedding. Sorry to upset all those men who were hoping and praying! And before you cross your fingers even further he’s an amazing guy and it’s going to last forever and ever! Lol.
However while Francine has been planning her wedding, her sister became very sick. Now I know I have asked for tons of prayers lately between my parents and myself, but please everyone keep Francine in their prayers and thoughts. Pray for her sister and pray that she keeps her stress level down planning her wedding!
