Highlight: Wildfire Stacey Marie!
I have had the pleasure of not only meeting and working with this person, but also against. Someone who is changing women’s wrestling for the way it’s viewed. She brings pure talent, and great passion and determination to the ring. On top of this, she’s beautiful and very awesome to talk to. I was very fortunate to be a groomsman in her and Superstar Cody Adams’ wedding in the fall of 2007, as well as attend different holiday functions at thier home. Stacey is as much a great person outside of the ring as she is talented inside of the ring. I had a sit down with her and here’s what was said:

DB: Tell everyone about your training (Who, when how long etc).
SM: I was trained by Superstar Cody Adams. I think I started back around 2003
DB: Describe your first match (against whom, what promotion, what city-state, who won, etc).
SM: My first match was against Superstar Cody Adams, then known as “Toty,” in ICW- Insane Championship Wrestling, in PA. it was a “bet” match that Toty could not beat Wildfire Stacey Marie, then known as “Spug”, in under 5 minutes. Needless to say “Spug” got squashed in about 2 minutes tops! but of course refused to be beat and kept going after Toty so it pretty much turned into a 2 out of 3 match! Of course Toty won that too.
DB: What has been your favorite match so far to date?
SM: I think it would be the three way with Blackwidow at SWA, Williamsport, PA.
DB: What so far has been your most rewarding experience with wrestling?
SM: Meeting so many new people who have become good friends, and the feeling of knowing you are so admired by fans.
DB: Being married to Cody Adams, has that effected your wrestling career, and in what way?
SM: Not too much, he really likes the fact his chick can fight!!!!
DB: Give a detailed decription behind who Stacey Marie, the wrestler, is.
SM: I was raised in a third world country, fighting to make a living, came to America and met Superstar Cody Adams who taught me what I know about wrestling. I became a Bible believing follower of Christ and have been working to be the best wrestler I can.
DB: What has been the worst moment in your career so far in wrestling?
SM: Not sure I really have one, though probably having to work a match with the Segas
DB: If there was anything you would do differently in your career so far, what would it be?
SM: Be more extreme in my style. I have been working with different things so hopefully my style will get more extreme!
DB: Who has influenced you the most in professional wrestling?
SM: Definitely first Superstar Cody Adams, then probably Gail Kim because watching her gives me hope that there are females out there who are willing to learn how to wrestle and not be just eye candy.
Take my word on it when I say Stacey Marie is NOT eye candy, I mean it. She just might be the hardest working wrestler out there today, let alone woman wrestler. Keep going Stacey and good luck!
