 Highlight: Superstar Cody Adams!

I have been friends with Cody since meeting him, and our in ring styles are very similar. He has his own twists and turns in things he does and brings a new look and energy to the ring with him. He has the crowd behind him everytime he comes out, and makes sure the fans have a great match, no matter what. He is one of the greatest guys you will ever want to meet, and one of the most talented.  I was very fortunate to be a groomsman in his and WildFire Stacey Marie’s wedding in the fall of 2007, as well as different holiday functions at thier home.  I had a sit down with the Superstar and this is what was said:

DB: Tell everyone about your training (Who, when how long etc).

CA: Well I started training myself in my basement on an old karate mat.  Then when I got some money, I bought a 12 ft training ring.  Then in the fall of 2004 , I started training professionally at W.X.W. (World Xtreme Wrestling).   I was there till ’bout July or August of 2005. when I hooked up with E.G.W..

DB: Describe your first match (against whom, what promotion, what city-state, who won, etc).

CA: My first match was very special… the promotion was S.W.A. (which is no longer around due to legal matters) but anyways, it took place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, in January of 2006.  It was a ladder match between myself (I was under a different name back then ), Bruce Maxwell, and Cole Calloway.  I won the match. It was a very magical night because everything was perfect about that night.

DB: What has been your favorite match to date?

CA: I’ve had a ton of favorite matches, but I must say my favorite match has to be my first one that I talked about in the previous question.

DB: What so far has been your most rewarding experience with wrestling?

CA: Every time I come through that curtain and the crowd is going nuts it is an experience like no other, but besides that, the most rewarding experience would have to be winning the E.G.W. Tag Team Championships with one of my closest friends, that’d be you, haha!

DB: As some know about you being married to Stacey Marie, as well as I seeing I was in your wedding, how has married life treated you, and what effect has it had on your wrestling career?

CA: Married life… haha…. what can I say?!?  No actually it’s been really good to me.  I mean people go through life not finding that special someone, that someone who you can spend 24/7/365 with and still look forward to tomorrow!  Stacey Marie has helped me out through A LOT in my life and I’m very thankful I found her when I did.  But Stacey understands my dream of being a professional wrestler and she doesn’t hold me back, she pushes me to keep going.  So it really hasn’t had a effect on my career, not to mention that she’s in the business helps a lot too, haha.

DB: Give a detailed decription behind who Cody Adams, the wrestler, is.

CA: Cody Adams was born and raised in Jersey Shore, PA. I grew up with martial arts so I stayed pretty active growing up.  My love is professional wrestling!!  Ask anyone and they’ll tell you I live, eat, and breathe wrestling. And now I just want to become the best professional wrestler the world has ever seen.

DB: What has been the worst moment in your career so far in wrestling?

CA: I don’t think I’ve really had a worst moment in my career so far. Everything has been pretty good.  Although I have had to turn down some huge bookings because I had to work, but what can I do?  But other than that I’ve had it pretty good so far.  Let’s hope my luck continues.

DB: If there was anything you would do differently in your career so far, what would it be?

CA: Nothing, I wouldn’t change anything because I feel that this is how it is supposed to work out.  God has a plan for me, so I know that this is how my career is supposed to be going, and I wouldn’t change anything.

CA: Right now I basically just wrestle for E.G.W.; however I am in talks with a few other promotions so the Superstar can be spread all over PA. Oh, and there is going to be a new promotion that is up and coming that will flip the wrestling world upside down!! And I have a part in that so that will also be on my MySpace!
