Triple Crown Championship Match

On July 12th the new UWA Canadian, Lightweight and Grand Prix Champion, Lionel Knight will make UWA history as he defends all three titles for the first time ever. At this years G.P. Tournament, Knight proved once and for all he is indeed the best, as he defeated four brutal opponents, including former Canadian Champion, Josh Prohibition. As part of the Derek Wylde Invitational, Knight is set to square off against his debuting opponent, Extremo. For the past few years Extremo has set the Ontario independent circuit on fire with his amazing onslaught of high risk manoeuvres. Extremo has worked extremely hard during the course of his career and has earned the right to be ranked as one of this provinces top competitors. Extremo would like nothing more then to knock Knight from off his thrown and become UWA Champion. After the G.P. Tournament Knight was quoted saying “It’s taken me a long time to earn the respect of this locker room and I intend on keeping their respect. It doesn’t matter who the UWA books for me, either way I’m going to be the last UWA Triple Crown Champion, That’s a promise.”

Looking For Gold

After the Flatliners learned the UWA had new Tag Team Champions they immediately petitioned for a title shot. After several encounters between the Ring Crew Express and the Flatliners, hatred between the teams has become extremely intense. Their history began in February as the two teams faced each other in an amazing tag team battle. That night saw the Flatliners pull the upset victory over the more experienced and well travelled, Ring Crew Express. In March four tag teams squared off against each other in an amazing display of tag team brilliance. Once again the Flatliners would stand toe to toe with the Ring Crew Express, only this time it was the Flatliners who were left battered in the ring as the two big men were put through tables. In April the Flatliners made an open challenge to any tag team in the UWA locker room. The team to accept that challenge was none other than the Ring Crew Express. The teams battled throughout the building in a disgusting display of sheer brutality. This time the end of the war would see the Ring Crew Express’s hands raised in their first victory over the Flatliners. At this years G.P. Tournament, with a crowd divided, the Ring Crew Express would do the unthinkable as they were able to defeat the former champions, Up In Smoke. Fans and wrestlers alike showed our new tag team champions the respect that they so welled deserved as their hands were raised in victory. The news of the new UWA Champions did not sit well with Flatliner Asylum, as he feels he deserves gold before the end of the UWA. Asylum is one of the original members of the UWA roster and with exception of Osiris, he has wrestled more UWA matches than any other man. To date Asylum has never worn UWA gold. On July 12th Asylum not only wants to destroy the champions but also capture what he feels is rightfully his in the UWA Tag Team Championship belts.
