Because I Should!

I figured its about time for another blog. I’ll try and make this one a short one. First before I forget, shout outs to my sisters Tracy, Dawn & Rose.
Wrestling wise I wrestled on the last WSU show. First off it was great to see my pal Angelina Love (I still call her Angel and she still refers me to Lily). I wrestled on both DVD tapings in my new tag team with Alere Little Feather as team WigWam. In our first match it was a preview to the upcoming WSU Tag Team Tournament where myself and Alere wrestled against Roxxie Cotton & Rick Cataldo and Jana and Luscious Latasha. It was a little bit of a challenge as there were 2 other teams and the bottom rope broke in the beginning of our match. I tried not to play favorites as I really do like Jana and Latasha but I had come to win. And I thought I had it in the bag when I hit Latasha with my gutbuster but as I went to cover her Rick Cataldo was on the outside of the ring and grabbed my legs so I could not crawl to make the cover and Roxxie dove on Latasha for the pin! So The Beatdown Betties get their first win at my expense!
Our second match was against Kacee Carlise and Kylie Pierce. This was a back and forth match until the end. Kacee had done something to Alere’s neck so when I got the tag I came in clearing house. I ended up with Kylie who put me back in her corner. Kacee put an arm across my throat and while the referee was trying to get her to let go I hit her off the apron. When I turned around Kylie had something metalic in her hand. I ducked and hit her with my gutbuster for the pin. I crawled over to check on Alere and the next thing I knew I was hit in the back of the head with something hard. I climbed over to the ropes to try and get up and as I was pulling myself up both Kacee and Kylie jumped on me and Kacee handcuffed me to the rope. I then had to watch as they beat down on Alere’s neck. God bless the referee for running to the locker room and finding a key to the handcuffs. I got uncuffed but the damage to Alere’s neck has been done. Alere will be out of action for an unspecified amount of time now and the extent of her injury is still unknown.
Last weekend I was at the WEW PPV taping to do my usual backstage work. I thought the show was really good. As crazy as I get backstage trying to make sure everything goes off as planned I really did have a good time and it was great seeing the girls I don’t get to see too often. As a matter of fact last Monday I got a haircut inspired in part by Christie Ricci!
At the WEW show I finally got to meet Cat Powers aka Haley Rogers from Canada. I had gotten her and Danyah booked for the show. Danyah I met and had the pleasure to work in Canada for PWA. I think the world of Danyah so when she recommended Cat I had no problem putting a word in. I certainly wasn’t disappointed! Chalk another Canadian up that I think the world of.
Last Sunday I went up to the 3K Wrestling show and was the ring announcer. It was a small outdoor show that for those in attendance certainly didn’t disappoint. Once again it gave me the opportunity to catch up with people I don’t see often like Ricky Landell and Steve Corino.
This past weekend I spent the weekend at Amy Lee’s house for her family’s annual 4th of July picnic and fireworks. I had a great time as Amy’s family is always very nice to me. Amy was talking about her Uncle George who owns a horse. I convinced him to let us go see it and I got also got to ride the horse. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE horseback riding so this was a great treat for me. The rest of the picinic was wonderful and the fireworks were better then what most townships put on.
Saturday Amy had a barbeque at her house. Attendees included myself, Amy, Big Balls (Amy’s husband), Alere, Phil Bouche, Tiny, Francine, Joe, Angel and Mandi. Once again a good time was had by all with tons of great food and tons of good laughs.
On my family front, my mother still is not doing well. As a matter of fact we had to start her on hospice. Most days she is in a ton of pain and can’t get out of bed.
Thank you to everyone who keeps checking in with me and send their well wishes. I appreciate it.
Be safe and take care!
– Missy
