August 25th, 20083KWrestling Summertime Blues Results & News: 2 New Champions Crowned!!!
Two new champions were crowned on Friday night, August 22 at 3KWrestling’s Summertime Blues event including 26 year veteran King Kaluha winning the ZERO-ONE United States heavyweight championship and the rookie team of Ryan Sawyer and Kevin Payne pulling out what could be the upset of the year by winning the Premier tag team titles.
A great crowd of mostly young kids cheered as the legendary King Kaluha as he ended Ricky Landell’s second United States title reign with his famed Kaluha Buster. Landell, who earlier in the night got into a in-ring confrontation with Steve Corino, might have been distracted by August 22nd was the King’s night! The King told 3KWrestling.com that he will be ready for his first defense of the championship on Sunday evening, September 14th at 3KWrestling’s Back To School Brawl.
The other title change that occurred was one of the biggest upsets if you are a follower of Pro-Wrestling 3000. The rookie team Ruthless Ryan Sawyer and Professor Kevin Payne show the world that determination, great attitudes, and hard work pays off as they upset The Inner Circle to win the Premier tag team titles. These two young stars in the making actually made their in-ring debuts on May 9, 2008 and only 95 days later they have won their first championship! Everyone at 3KWrestling.com congratulates the new champs and wishes them the best in their title reign. But one team that will be hot on their trail is The Best Around with Marcus King Kong Dowling. Although the TBA has struggled and not been as successful as predicted in 3KWrestling, they have taken the smart road and nominated themselves as the first challengers to the titles on Sunday, September 14th.

REYES SUCCESSFUL IN DEFENSE OF THE WORLD O-WEIGHT TITLE IN CALIFORNIA!
3KWrestling World Openweight champion Ricky Reyes made a successful third defense of the title on Saturday night in Los Angeles, CA after defeating the very talented TJ Perkins at Pro Wrestling Affiliates’ Global Warming event.
This hard-hitting match stole an event that also featured Ricky Landell and CW Anderson vs. Christopher Daniels & Kaz meeting in a great match. For over 15 minutes Reyes and Perkins battled it out with Reyes finally gaining the win after a Brainbuster. The same Brainbuster that brought him the World Openweight title and the Shinya Hashimoto Memorial Tournament trophy.
Next up for Reyes is former ECW World champion Jerry Lynn on Sunday, September 14 in Limerick, PA. These two amazing athletes met in the finals of the Hashimoto Tournament in July and now Lynn is not only looking for revenge but he is looking to beat Reyes for the gold!
