On last week’s edition of CHIKARA Podcast-A-Go-Go, we heard from a frustrated Chuck Taylor, who was still stinging from his loss to Incognito at July’s VANITY & VIOLENCE show in Philadelphia. Chuck told Incognito that when CHIKARA arrived in the Mid-West, and that Incognito would be smart to go out and find some back up for himself as well. Not long after those comments hit the internet, we got a call from Juarez, Mexico and heard Incognito’s voice on the other end. He asked for one man’s phone number and that was that. Now, a week later, we see that not only did Incognito get in touch with his man, but that they’ve also agreed to take on Taylor and Akuma in Cleveland. Who is that man? Why, its none other than Chuck Taylor’s old buddy, HELIOS. The high-flying ace and aerial wonder was the man who beat Chuck Taylor for the Young Lions Cup last October, and who Taylor is convinced is secretly an even older enemy in disguise.

And while that concept may seem outright ridiculous, the action between these four will be anything but a laughing matter as F.I.S.T. looks to extract some revenge on their old enemies turned new team mates. Can Taylor and Akuma get back to form in Cleveland? Or will they regret ever pushing two of CHIKARA’s top high-flyers together as a tandem?

But Cleveland won’t be Helios’ only stop on CHIKARA’s Mid-West Rampage, as he’ll be in action the night before in Streamwood, IL taking on another fast-rising Young Lion in “The New Horror” Sami Callihan. And while both of these men have issues with F.I.S.T. to settle in Cleveland (Helios w/ Incognito against Taylor & Akuma, Callihan vs. Icarus) they’re going to go head-to-head in Streamwood to try and make a definitive statement about their place in the CHIKARA landscape.

Can Helios rebound in his first singles bout after a tough loss in the finals of May’s Rey de Voladores tournament? Or will Sami Callihan finally get past having “impressive showings” and pick up his first CHIKARA victory?
