Pro Wrestling Ohio 10/7
October 7th, 2008PWO: Preview of Saturday’s Live TV Taping in Brook Park, Ohio!
HOT NEWS ON PWO’s NEXT LIVE TV TAPING THIS SATURDAY IN BROOK PARK!
The start of Pro Wrestling Ohio’s second season of television programming is just days away! And with a new season comes new matches, new faces, and a new home for PWO’s live events. PWO debuts at the Brook Park Armory, 6225 Engle Road (OH-291) in Brook Park Ohio, 44142, on Saturday night, October 11 with LIVE PWO action! This WILL be a television taping for PWO on Sports Time Ohio so be sure to bring your signs and enthusiasm! This event is held in conjunction with the local National Guard and Family Readiness Group, which gives aid and support to relatives and loved ones of those serving our country overseas. A portion of event proceeds going to these great causes!
This Saturday in Brook Park you will see the following…
“M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross WILL defend the PWO Heavyweight Championship but against whom? Several challengers have made it known that they would like to be first in line. Johnny Gargano has been overheard telling anyone that will listen that he “wants the belt”, and after emerging victorious in a brutal “Last Man Standing” match with Gregory Iron at Wrestlelution, its hard to argue his claims of deserving a shot. Another athlete in contention is the 6’8” over 300 lb. Jason Bane, who defeated the monstrous Cronus at Wrestlelution to be officially recognized as “Most Dominant Man in PWO”. Both these athletes involved themselves in M-Dogg’s title match with Josh Prohibition at Wrestlelution, and Prohibition himself has stated that he feels his issues with Matt Cross are far from over. Who will be the chosen one to challenge the Innovator of Aerial Insanity in M-Dogg’s first title defense this Saturday night and how will the other contenders react?
One issue not in dispute is PWO’s Tag Team Titles. Seemingly unlikely partners Jake Crist & Vincent Nothing shocked the PWO world by capturing the gold in a hellacious Ladder Match at Wrestlelution. Now, they defend the titles against the winners of PWO’s first ladder match: Matthew Justice & “Bloody” Morty Rackem, collectively known as Pirate Justice. Rackem & Justice spent the first half of the year on a roll, can they regain their momentum to capture the tag team titles? Or can the one-half of Irish Airborne and one-half of Faith in Nothing combine together to form a flawless successful tag team?
“Superstar” Mike Tolar had possibly the worst night of his career at Wrestlelution, being humiliated by upstart Benjamin Boone and wrestling legends King Kong Bundy & Greg “The Hammer” Valentine. Tolar has reportedly been in a very volatile mood since that time, and will see action for the first time since as he takes on the inspirational cerebral palsy survivor Gregory Iron in Iron’s official return to full-time PWO competition. Despite losing his Last Man Standing Match at Wrestlelution, Iron exited the ring under his own power, refusing to be carried out and refusing to let Johnny Gargano kill his dream or belittle his efforts. Iron looks to build off of that emotional moment by resuming his winning ways, but it will not be easy. Who will win in this battle of much needed momentum?
Earlier we spoke of Josh Prohibition and his anger over losing to “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross at Wrestlelution. Prohibition has signed on to meet Bobby Beverly one-on-one, but will Prohibition stop there? How will Beverly fare in his biggest match to date and what hell will Josh Prohibition raise as he deals with the fact of NOT being in the spotlight as heavyweight champion?
PLUS: The cult sensation Hobo Joe, “Megastar” Marion Fontaine, the obnoxious members of The Clash, Benjamin Boone, Noj the Wild Samoan, the PWO debuts of “Omega” Aaron Draven and Bobby “The Body” Shields, and much more!
Tickets are just $10 in advance, $12 the day of the show, and $15 for front row ringside! Tickets on sale NOW and also will be available at the door the day of the show!
