This Sunday, at “Three-Fisted Tales“, Amasis and I will be in a position we haven’t been in sssince October of 2008: Challengers to the Campeonatos de Parejasss. But before that happens, I want to delve into the storied history we have with you, Fire and Soldier Ant. The first time we encountered each other was at “Dueces Wild” in April of 2008. In defeating you, we earned our first shot at the Campeonatos de Parejasss. After reflecting upon such pivotal moments in time, It was fitting that you would turn the tables. At the finals of “Tag World Grand Prix“, in defeating us, you earned your first shot at the Campeonatos. By defeating Amasis and I, you held a victory over the Campeones. To say we were ashamed and embarrassed would be an understatement. You left us with egg on our facesssss.
Our game of one-upmanship did not end there. Noooooo. You acquired 7 points in your journey to knock us off our pyramid. When we finally met in January at “Revelation X“, you were granted a stipulation of your choice due to your unprecedented accomplishment. For the first time in CHIKARA history, the Campeonatosss would be defended in a single fall. That was a mistake. Our mentor and God, Osiris, had bestowed a mission upon us going into “Revelation X“: to wipe clean the egg you left on our facessss in Germany. We put it all on the line to defeat you. Amasis even went so far as to “injure” his ankle to retain our Campeonatos. After making you look like fools, I put an end to the gamesss with my Avalanche Egyptian Destroyer. One fall was all we needed. Our mission was accomplished. Or ssso we thought…
Karma isn’t a concept The Osirian Portal endorsesss. But at “Hiding in Plain Sight“, I might have become a believer. After spending the summer months battling F.I.S.T. and traveling to Japan, you gained another 3 pointsss. You regrouped, and became a better team. Amasis and I spent most of the summer months rehabilitating injuries. So, when it came time to defend our titles against you for a second time, karma had put us in a curious predicament. There were no faking of injuries this time around to fool the Antssss. I truly was injured. My broken arm would be the Achillessss heel of our title reign. In the main event of “Hiding in Plain Sight“, I tapped out to a hold that was placed on my damaged arm. We were vanquished in two straight falls. Colony, you humbled us.
Upon losing, we immediately went back to Egypt to renew ourselvesss. Osiris has charged us with a new mission: Become the first team to obtain the Campeonatos De Parejasss on two occasions. With a change to our disposition and a new look, we were able to rack up 3 points in record time. In one weekend, we defeated teams like The Young Bucksss and The Roughnecksss. When we set our sights on a goal, we conquer it. We know you better than any other team in CHIKARA. You could even say…you inssspire us to be our very best. But we will no longer play games when those golden belts are on the line. My arm is no longer broken. On November 22nd, at “Three-Fisted Tales“, we will usher in the new era of the Portal.
