The event opened with The General Manager of NWA Fusion Spencer Chestnutt coming to the ring to welcome the fans and run down the night’s card.

Match 1:
“The Weapon of Mass Destruction” C.A. Elliott defeated “The Ruthless Rudo” Horrorshow w/Sheik Ali Akbar
After finally finishing off his one sided feud with “The A-Lister” Zach Hilton last month by dominating both Hilton and Logan Hodge in a tag team match, “The Weapon of Mass Destruction” was looking to climb the ladder in NWA Fusion. He faced an entirely different threat in the “Ruthless Rudo” Horrorshow. Last month Horrorshow alongside the rest of the Sheik’s Army of Destruction succeeded in putting a terrible beating on Sean Denny in the Gauntlet Match orchestrated by “The Mempho Mofo” Mark Bravura. This month, Horrorshow debuted a brand new look as he faced CA Elliott. The match began with both men fighting over the lockup. Finally, when CA came out on top, Horrorshow went outside the ring and returned with two chairs. He didn’t attack Elliott with them. Instead he set them up in the ring and challenged CA to sit face to face and exchange punches. Despite Horrorshow going first, CA won the exchange and the Ruthless Rudo resorted to a brutal kick to the face to put “The Weapon of Mass Destruction” on the defensive. Horrorshow took the match to the outside and landed a death defying suicide dive to the outside of the ring. Back inside he maintained his advantage until CA nearly knocked him unconscious with a couple of his patented kicks to the head and a flying clothesline off the top rope. Sheik Ali Akbar jumped up on the apron to distract CA, but when Horrorshow attempted to jump CA from behind CA moved out of the way. Horrorshow crashed into the Sheik sending the man from Syria sprawling to the floor much to the crowd’s delight. Back in the ring, CA powered Horrorshow up into the Tornado Backbreaker, newly christened the WMD, and slammed “The Ruthless Rudo” across his knee and got the win.

Match 2:
“The Nordic Manbeast” Vulstagg defeated “Playboy” Peter Spade
Sheik Ali Akbar had no time to mourn over Horrorshow’s hard fought defeat as he made his way to the ring with The Nordic Manbeast Vulstagg. The skull stick that the Sheik carries seems to be the only thing that can keep the Nordic Manbeast under even the slightest bit of control as we saw last month when Vulstagg closed out the Gauntlet Match with Sean Denny by destroying the already beaten down Geordie Bulldog before turning his attention to the referee. On this night, Vulstagg faced a man making his debut in NWA Fusion, “Playboy” Peter Spade. Pete faced an up hill battle against a force as unstoppable as Vulstagg. Early in the contest, Pete attempted to use his speed advantage to keep away from the Nordic Manbeast, but soon enough Vulstagg was able to take control. Vulstagg used his superior size to crush “The Playboy.” Pete put up a valiant fight, but in the end he was unable to survive the Nordic Manbeast and his crushing Inverted Samoan Drop.

Match 3:
“The Pain Train” Preston Quinn and Grail vs. “Beautiful” Bobby Shields and “Number One” Jefferson Early
These two teams have met more times than any other in the history of NWA Fusion and only recently have Grail and Preston Quinn been able to gain any sliver of an advantage over the New Gods of Wrestling. After having earned the number one contendership for the NWA Fusion tag team championship last month, PQ and Grail were looking to continue their hot streak while Bobby and Jeff wanted to knock them from their lofty perch. Early on the hatred between these two teams was apparent as they went back and forth. Finally, the New Gods were able to gain the advantage and dominate Grail in their corner and nearly won the match on several occasions. Grail was finally able to reach his corner and tag in “The Pain Train.” Preston came in on fire and battered both of his opponents. Soon all four men were in the ring. Shields and Grail were knocked to the outside where they continued to brawl. In the ring, Jefferson Early set up the Superkick on Preston Quinn, but PQ was able to catch Jeff’s foot. After a series of counters with both men nearly defeating the other PQ was able to trap Jefferson in a small package and hold him down for the 1… 2… 3. Now PQ and Grail are able to turn their sights to the NWA Fusion Tag Team Champions Assault and Battery and their first chance to become the champions on Saturday February 27th in Saluda, Virginia at Gold and Glory.

Match 4:
NWA Fusion Alpha Championship Title Match
“The Mempho Mofo” Mark Bravura with Marcus “King Kong” Dowling defeated Brandon Day
After surviving against “The Geordie Bulldog” Sean Denny and The American Ranger the last two months and barely managing to hold on to the NWA Fusion Alpha Championship, many fans believed that Brandon Day would be the one to finally defeat “The Mofo” and take the title. Brandon Day has been on an incredible hot streak in recent months including victories over Shorty Smalls and “The Man Scout” Jake Manning and as a two time former Alpha Champion Day knew what it takes to win the championship and made a great showing in the Alpha Title Match. Early in the match, Day was able to control the action with his superior mat wrestling ability. Any time the Mofo was able to counter one of Brandon’s hold, Brandon immediately retook the advantage. Frustrated the Mofo soon turned to his typical roughhouse rasslin tactics, but Day was one step ahead of him and beat Bravura to the punch. Soon Day rocked Bravura with a stiff boot to the jaw that sent the Mofo to the outside. Day teased hitting Bravura with one of his spectacular dives to the outside of the ring, but Bravura quickly moved out of the way. Day thought quickly and adjusted his momentum. Day slipped out of the ring and snuck up behind the unsuspecting champion. After working over the Mofo on the outside of the ring and slamming his head into the apron, Day climbed back into the ring, but before Day could step in with his left leg the Mofo hooked Day’s foot under the bottom rope then clotheslined Day’s neck on the top rope. Day flew back into the ring, but his leg was caught in the ropes and twisted in a grotesque angle. The referee, Scott Williams, helped Day get his foot free from the ropes, but the damage was already done. The Mofo stood over Day gloating while the challenger writhed in pain. The Mofo immediately went to work with his typical blood-thirsty style. He battered Brandon’s knee and twisted it against the grain. He even attempted to slam the injured extremity against the ring post, but referee Williams wouldn’t allow it. Unfortunately, when Bravura distracted the referee’s attention, his manager Marcus “King Kong” Dowling crept up behind the referee’s back and slammed Day’s knee against the post. Back in the ring, the champion locked on the spinning toe hold. Day fought the move, but once the Mofo began to use the ropes for leverage it looked as if his challenge would come up just short. Finally, Referee Scott Williams looked up just in time and caught the Mofo with his hand in the cookie jar. The champion was forced to release the hold and Day trapped him in a small package. It looked as if The Mofo’s championship reign would end, but he managed to escape and kick out at the last moment. After confirming that it was indeed just a two count the Mofo went back on the attack. He worked over Day’s knee again and again, but couldn’t keep the challenger down. Finally, the Mofo thought that he had worn down Day enough that he could finish him off with devastating Fargo Elbow. With his typical arrogance, Bravura wasted valuable time strutting, but when he took flight FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN NWA FUSION THE MOFO MISSED THE FARGO ELBOW!!! It looked like this would be Brandon Day’s night. He struggled to his feet. His injured knee barely able to hold his weight. He countered the Mofo’s attempt at offense and crushed the champion with a huge big boot and followed that with a T-Bone Suplex and flying forearm in the corner. As the crowd erupted, Day set Bravura up for his Cutthroat DDT finisher, but the Mofo managed to slip out the back of the move and was in perfect position to hit The Time Machine on Brandon Day. As the Mofo celebrated it looked as if the hopes of the fans of NWA Fusion would be dashed, but unbelievably Brandon Day became the first wrestler in history to kick out of the Time Machine. Bravura pleaded with the referee, but it was all for naught. Day had indeed kicked out. Bravura pulled Day’s nearly lifeless body to his feet and attempted to set up the Mo Fo Toe Hold, but Day countered and landed a series of elbows to the back of the champion’s head. Then with a superhuman burst of energy Day hoisted Bravura into the air and crushed the Champion with a devastating Meltdown pumphandle powerslam. It looked like there would be a new champion, but somehow The Mofo kicked out at the last second. Feeling the momentum shift. Day placed Bravura in position and nearly took his head off with a sliding seated clothesline then looked to scale to the top rope. The damage to his knee forced Day to take a little longer than he would’ve liked getting to the top rope and when he came flying off of the ropes the Mofo managed to slip away. All of Day’s weight landed on his knees. When he got up the Mofo was on him immediately and rolled through and applied the MoFo Toe Hold. Day struggled mightily as the fans urged him on, but in the end the pain was too much and Day slowly slipped into unconsciousness and the Mofo was victorious. After the match, the Mofo and his manager Marcus Dowling started to leave the ringside area, but instead they returned. Apparently they didn’t appreciate the challenge that Brandon Day provided or were scared that he had come so close this time and wanted to eliminate any chance of a rematch. Day struggled to his feet and as soon as he turned around The Mofo hit a second Time Machine knocked Day out cold. Bravura took a chair from Marcus Dowling and in a scene eerily similar to what was done to Marky D placed it around Brandon’s ankle. The Mofo climbed the ropes and looked to break Brandon’s leg as he had so many before, but before he could “The Geordie Bulldog” Sean Denny hit the ring to keep The Mofo from doing to Day what he had done to Sean’s brother. The Mofo and Dowling scampered away like rats and despite Sean’s demands that they get in the ring and fight him both men retreated to the backstage area while Sean tried to help the injured Brandon Day to his feet.

Match 5:
The American Ranger defeated The Evil Wind From the East Krotch with Sheik Ali Akbar
In a rematch of one of the most infamous matches in the history of NWA Fusion, the mask vs. hair match that led to the shaving of Krotch, the Spirit of America went one on one with “The Pearl of the Orient.” Before they could even lock up to begin the match, The American Ranger threw Krotch off his game when he pulled a pair of scissors out of his camouflage. These were the same scissors the Ranger used to cut Krotch’s hair. Krotch flew into a rage and attacked The Ranger from behind. He pounded the Ranger with stomps, kicks, punches and clotheslines while Sheik Ali Akbar interfered at every opportunity before finally the Ranger was able to make his comeback. He bounced Krotch around the ring like a superball before ensnaring the Evil Wind from the East in the Uncle Slam and tossing him to the mat for the victory. After the match, The Ranger took possession of the tuft of Krotch’s hair that the Sheik had been using to attempt to motivate his charge.

Match 6:
“The Geordie Bulldog” Sean Denny defeated Zach Hilton
After getting beaten from pillar to post by “The Weapon of Mass Destruction” CA Elliott, “The A-Lister” Zach Hilton probably choose the wrong time to try to gain a victory over Sean Denny. Last month, the Geordie Bulldog was forced to compete in a gauntlet match against Jefferson Early, Krotch and Horrorshow and finally Vulstagg or else he would’ve been indefinitely suspended as a result of the Mempho Mofo’s lawsuit against NWA Fusion. Early in the match Sean took his aggression out on Paris’s cousin Zach. He confounded the young superstar with his World of Sport style mat wrestling mastery before exploding with the devastating Penalty Kick to the upstart’s back. It appeared for a moment that Sean had become a little over-confident, however, as out of nowhere “The A-Lister” was able to nail Denny with the SnapMare Driver. Zach came within an eyelash of getting the pin and the victory, but his lackadaisical cover proved to be his undoing as “The Geordie Bulldog” kicked out of the cover and in one amazing maneuver hooked Hilton into the Lockjaw. Hilton wasted no time in taping out, but Denny held the hold on just long enough to incapacitate him.
After the match, Sean took the microphone, he said that now that he’d gotten his warm up out of the way that he was ready to get down to business for four straight months he’s choked someone into unconsciousness with the Lockjaw and wasn’t done putting people to sleep yet tonight. So he challenged the Alpha Champion The Mempho Mofo Mark Bravura to come down to the ring if he had any guts. After a few moments, someone came through the curtain, but it wasn’t Bravura it was The New Gods of Wrestling Jefferson Early and Bobby Shields. Jefferson hadn’t forgotten getting choked out last month and he and his partner were looking for revenge. The both stormed the ring and jumped Denny. They held a quick advantage before Denny was able to duck a double clothesline and hit his flying Kenta knee on both men. Sean looked to be standing tall, but Zach Hilton had recovered and nailed Denny from behind. Hilton and the New Gods proceeded to put the boots to Denny and it was only then that The Mempho Mofo and Marcus Dowling choose to emerge from backstage. Bravura climbed into the ring and began to direct traffic. Denny was crushed by a three on one assault as the Mofo just looked on and laughed. Finally, he ordered The New Gods and Zach Hilton to pull Sean to his feet. Dowling handed the Mofo a chair and it looked like he would use it cave in Sean’s head, but just as the Mofo swung the chair someone dove into the ring and stood between them… It was Sean’s fiancee Shy. She hadn’t been seen since she convinced Sean to release the Lockjaw when he was being threatened with suspension. Bravura held up his swing shocked by what he saw. Bravely Shy stood between The Mofo and helpless Bulldog and begged him not to hit Sean with the chair. The Mofo and King Kong tried to intimidate her, but she wouldn’t back down. Finally, in a despicable move the Mofo pulled back to swing the chair whether Shy stood there or not. As he did Shy turned and grabbed Sean to protect him from the chairshot. The Mofo held up again this time he, Dowling, Shields, Early and Hilton tried to budge her, but she wouldn’t let go. The Mofo pulled back the chair again and unbelievably would’ve struck Shy with the chair, but just in the nick of time Preston Quinn, Grail and Brandon Day hit the ring. Bravura, Dowling, Shields, Early, and Hilton fled like cowards. Outside of the ring, the fans were incensed by the actions of The Mofo. One fan even lifted a chair and attempted to slam it over the Mofo’s head only to be stopped by security. The wrestlers all squared off issuing challenges before finally The Mofo and his group retreated to the back. In the ring, Shy, PQ, Grail and Day tended to Sean Denny who soon was on his feet and swearing revenge against the Mofo.

“Big Time” Mike Booth and The NWA Fusion Tag Team Champions Assault and Battery defeated The NWA Fusion Continental Champion “The Wiseguy” Jimmy Cicero and Da Nu Bluds
This six man elimination tag team contest featured two of the longest running feuds in NWA Fusion. Champion and former champions faced off against former champion and champions. At first it looked as if the experience of “The Wiseguy” Jimmy Cicero was paying great dividends for DNB as the worked circles around the new tag team champions including knocking them from the ring with stereo double dropkicks. Soon, however, the former Continental Champion Mike Booth and the Tag Team Champions Assault and Battery were able to gain control as they trapped Da Curse in their corner. For several minutes is looked as if Cicero and DNB were going to be shorthanded, but Da Curse refused to be pinned finally he broke away and managed to make the tag to his brother Da Gift. Soon the entire match had broken down and all six men were in the ring. Carlos Hotness pulled out the Ten Dollar Punch that had brought them the tag team titles and won them their rematch against DNB, but this time the former champs were ready. They avoided the Ten-Dollar Punch and sent the new champions sprawling from the ring. Da Nu Bluds immediately scaled the turnbuckles and flew off with a pair of incredible suicide dives onto Victor Griff and Carlos Hotness. Then outside the ring they took possession of the ten dollar punch and used it to lay out both Griff and Carlos. Unfortunately, they failed to pay attention to the count and back in the ring referee Scott Williams counted all four men out. DNB dragged Assault and Battery to the back leaving “Big Time” Mike Booth and “Wiseguy” Jimmy Cicero one on one to finish the match. After going back and forth Cicero had Booth set up for the Superplex, but Booth was able to counter and crush Cicero with a Side Russian Leg Sweep from the second rope. It looked as if Booth was finally going to gain a victory over “The Wiseguy”, but somehow Cicero managed to kick out before the final three count. Booth couldn’t believe it. He pulled Cicero to his feet and took him back to the corner. He pounded the champion in the corner before finally shooting him off. Somehow Cicero was able to muster the strength to reverse the whip and send Booth into the buckle, but as he so often has Mike Booth was a step ahead. He sprang up and over as Cicero run under him and slammed into the buckle. Booth couldn’t take advantage though as the moment he landed on the mat his knee seemingly gave way. Booth yelled in pain and immediately grabbed his knee. Cicero shook off running into the buckle and turned around to see that Booth was on the mat. While these men have battled back and forth over the last several months they’ve grown to have professional respect for one another. They man not like each other, but they do respect each other. Cicero didn’t want to win a match on a fluke injury. Booth tried to get to his feet, but his knee wouldn’t support his weight. Everything, stopped as referee Scott Williams and The Wiseguy attempted to figure out the severity of the injury. When Booth couldn’t stand even with help it was apparent that this match was most likely over. Cicero went to the edge of the ring and called for General Manager Spencer Chestnutt to come to the ring. When Spencer stepped through from the backstage area, he looked as surprised as anyone. Cicero asked Spencer to get some help for Booth from the back when suddenly behind him Booth kipped up. In less than a second he had gone from having destroyed his knee to jumping around as if everything was okay. Spencer looked on in complete shook. Cicero turned around to see what was going on and was obliterated by Mike Booth’s patented Lariat. Booth covered Cicero and despite referee Scott Williams protests he had to count the three.
After the match, Mike Booth got on the microphone. He said that “The Wiseguy” Jimmy Cicero was a great wrestler, but “Big Time” Mike Booth just showed why he was the longest reigning Continental Champion in history and why he was undefeated for nearly two years. Jimmy Cicero is a great wrestler, but Mike Booth is a great champion. He’s smarter than Cicero and that’s why when he get his guaranteed Continental Title Rematch on February 27th in Saluda, Virginia at Gold and Glory the belt is going to come back where it belongs. Around Big Time’s waist. With that he threw down the mic and left Cicero laying in the ring.
