For their long awaited return to The Arena in Philadelphia, Dangerous Women of Wrestling promised a wild, sexy, out of control wrestling show that was a mix of Jerry Springer and Girls Gone Wild, and boy, did they deliver! Of course there was plenty of the dysfunction that DWOW is famous for, and the standing room only crowd had a blast.

The opening match was announced as Sumie Sakai vs. Roxxi Cotton, but 2 wise guys from The Family came out with Sara Del Rey, who quickly dispatched Roxxi and put on an exciting, fast paced match with Sumie. After several near falls, Sara pinned Sumie for the win.

Next came a Sexy Ref Dance from Chrissy Rivera, but it was interrupted by Sound Guy, who insulted Chrissy and asked the crowd if they really thought she was sexy. Even though the crowd answered with a loud, “Yes!” Sound Guy sent Chrissy to the back. He went on to say that he still hates ho’s, and reminisced about putting Pussy Willow through a flaming table at Hovember to Remember. At this, Pussy Willow came out with Corey Kastle, who superkicked Sound Guy into oblivion to give Pussy Willow her revenge.

Zach Gowen, who was seated in the front row, was introduced before the next match, the After School Catfight. Several dancers dressed as naught schoolgirls put on a crazy catfight until it was broken up by Referee Fernando, who was described as “sexually ambiguous.” Ring announcer Maven Bentley promised that the match would continue at the after party.

Next was the intergender Elimination Tag Team Match featuring The Maes (Papa, Taylor & Davey), Liz Savage and Trixie, The Punky Bruisers (Roxxi Cotton & Marti Belle), and Self Employed (Funky White Boy & JD Smooth). Anything goes was the theme in this mayhem filled match, including Liz Savage pulling down Funky White Boy’s pants. Self Employed eliminated Liz and Trixie. The Punky Bruisers eliminated Self Employed and then The Maes to win the match.
Maven Bentley then led the crowd in pleading with Frank Talent, the PA Athletic Commission rep, chanting “Please, Frank, Please!” to get him to allow an oil match, Finally Frank gave in, and two dancers oiled up and put on a catfight. Maven promised there would be more at the after party.
Following that, some attractive ladies from Bonebreakerz Clothing threw out t-shirts to the crowd. Check out their original styles at www.bonebreakerz.com/
Next The Smoke came out with a rapper. Sorry, I know very little about rap, so I didn’t recognize him, but the crowd enjoyed him. Smoke then asked for the biggest Flyers fan there so he could give him something. A man came out of the crowd to the ring, only to get beat down by Smoke, who then continued with his rant against ho’s and the fans. Amy Lee was so angry she stormed down to the ring and won an impromptu match with Smoke.
Lil’ Sassy Cassie was next introduced by her manager Sir Style. Sassy Cassie is an amazing 2’10″ shapely, athletic dancer who first danced exotically in the ring and then performed a very impressive pole dance.
Next Fighting Elvis came out and threatened to sing, but Annie Social came out and beat him mercilessly, to the delight of the crowd. He made his escape when Mia Yim, who has been feuding with Annie, came down and resumed their feud. Mia won this round.
The main event was supposed to be Missy Sampson vs. Candi for the DWOW Championship, but Candi no showed, angering Missy, who was sure she would win the coveted gold. Missy demanded to know what would happen, and Lucky the Cripple Guy was sent out to answer her. He didn’t have the answer Missy wanted, though, so she beat him up. This so enraged Zach Gowen that he entered the ring for a match with Missy, who at one point accidentally pulled his prosthetic leg off! The Smoke and Sound Guy, came down to ringside and helped distract the ref, allowing Missy to engage in some shenanigans, and she pinned Zach to win the match. Then the lights went out, & when they came back up, GI Ho was in the ring with a chair! The lights went out again, and when they came back up, Smoke and Sound Guy were laid out in the ring, and GI Ho was gone. Zach was back on his feet. Missy tried to use the chair on Zach, but she missed and hit the ropes, so the chair bounced back and she hit herself in the head, allowing Zach to then pin her.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable night of fun and mayhem, and I hope DWOW returns to the Arena very soon. When they return to tv and PPV, I recommend you check out the dysfunctional women of DWOW.
