Q & A: ALEXIS PARRISH
“It’s all about respect for each other and your craft.”
Call her the Wicked Beauty, the Female Tornado or the Indie Wrestling Madwoman... all three apply equally well to this young newcomer, who proves in match after match why the Mid-Atlantic region has always been a hotbed of outstanding women's wrestling.
LadySports is proud to help introduce Alexis Parrish to wrestling fans worldwide!
THE STATS: Height: Five feet, five inches Weight: 148 pounds Hair: Brunette Hometown: Haunted hills of New Orleans
LADYSPORTS: Welcome, Alexis… when did you first get into the sport?
ALEXIS PARRISH: I started in July of 2010. I wrestled ‘til November that year, then I got pregnant so I took some time off. I came back on November 13th 2011.
LS: Who trained you?
AP: Myric Moore trained me. I also had help from Wicked, Rob Killjoy and Will Demented.
LS: What was your biggest influence to become a wrestler?
AP: I am a huge fan of 80′s wrestling, particularly of the Fabulous Moolah and Sensational Sherri.
LS: What other sports do you have an interest in?
AP: I used to be very big into softball while I was in school.
LS: How would you describe yourself in terms of attitude, personality, likes, dislikes, and strengths?
AP: I like to think of myself as easy going… I like to have a good laugh. I am very goal driven; if I have a goal I want to reach, I’ll do whatever it takes to reach it.
LS: What is your most marked characteristic as a wrestler?
AP: My intensity in the ring and with the fans.
LS: Describe a typical day of training for you. What is most important in your workout?
AP: I love to get in the ring and train. My trainer always stressed it’s more important to learn the little things than it is to learn big flashy stuff. Cardio is also a big deal in wrestling.
LS: How would you best describe your ring style?
AP: I am more of a ground and pound wrestler.
LS: What moves are you best known for?
AP: I do the Widow’s Peak.
LS: Have you ever been injured in the ring?
AP: No, knock on wood! I have been lucky enough to have not gotten hurt.
LS: Who have been your toughest opponents?
AP: Mia Svensson is a tough opponent, what with her quickness and all-over ring ability.

PERSEPHONE vs FIRE
“YOUR FIRE IS PUT OUT!”

Another classic from the PGWA Vault!
Persephone and Fire, two of the most popular blondes in PGWA history, meet in this ring-shaking battle! Both women are incredibly skilled, incredibly tough, and neither is prepared to back down.
In her pre-match remarks, Persephone makes it clear she’s willing and able to do whatever it takes to beat her statuesque opponent, and that’s made obvious early on, as the Virginian unhesitatingly resorts to hairpulling, strangling and even biting to put Fire on the defensive.
The match see-saws back and forth through long and painful minutes, with Fire growing increasingly frustrated at her adversary’s blatant cheating…until finally the good girl has had enough, and she shows Persephone she can dish out the rulebreaking just as well!
Longtime PGWA fans are well aware of just how outstanding these two ladies are in the ring; and if you’ve never seen them in action, then you owe yourself the pleasure of adding this titanic battle to your elite collection!
